Meet Lynn
Recognizing her interest in fashion at age fourteen, Lynn’s parents bought her a sewing machine and since then, she has made a career out of her passion. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, she grew up on the island of Maui and worked at local fabric stores, taught summer sewing classes and even made prom dresses for her friends. After earning her bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, she moved to New York City where she worked with top clothing brands. With an eye for fit and design, along with a commitment to producing quality goods, she has built a thriving clothing design company, Sakutori Designs, LLC in Honolulu since 2007.

Always with Aloha
Founded in 2013 under Sakutori Designs, LLC, always a.line brings together artistry, craftsmanship, and community. Lynn and her team curate one-of-a-kind artwork and develop it into custom-knitted jersey fabrics, working closely with knitting mills and printers across the United States. Each fabric is then shipped to Hawai‘i, where the team designs styles with a focus on fit, drape, and timeless wearability.
At the Kaka‘ako studio, every piece is cut and sewn with care, reflecting a deep commitment to quality and detail. We are proud to support local makers and celebrate the spirit of community by producing thoughtfully made garments right here in Hawai‘i.
